Educational workshops are held periodically in each of the target areas to help encourage an active and motivated community.

At each stove workshop, participants are taught how to build their own efficient stove, then witness a contest between traditional and fuel efficient stoves.  The efficient stove wins every time, cooking the same food in less time using about 1/3 less wood.  And it tastes great!

At tree workshops, participants help plant at one of the project’s demonstration areas, then learn how to start their own tree nursery at home.
